The Exchange is the leading supplier of software and services to independent financial intermediaries in the UK and was acquired by Marlborough Stirling in 2001. 

It was formed in 1991 by a group of leading product providers to enable the electronic distribution of financial products to independent financial advisers (IFAs).  Since then The Exchange has broadened its scope to become a one-stop-shop for a vast range of technology services aimed at facilitating the distribution of financial products to financial intermediaries and helping those intermediaries develop and grow their businesses more efficiently.

The Exchange offers two main business solutions, Exweb and Officeweb.  Together these two solutions aim to support the key stages of an intermediary's business process from initial customer contact through to ongoing policy servicing and customer relationship management.
